"Jara Island" is an island in Daljeon-ri, Gapyeong-eup, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, and is a 47603-square-meter eco-park. In the past, when Cheongpyeong Dam was built in 1943, Jara Island, which was located about 800 meters away from Nami Island, was named 'Jara Island' because it is an island that looks like a turtle. In addition, Jara Island, which consists of four islands, Dongdo, Seodo, Jungdo and Namdo, also has leisure and ecological park facilities, camping and festivals, and is widely known as the place where Jara Island International Jazz Festival is held.
However, due to the large size of land and large size of land, there was a limit to the establishment of infrastructure. Gapyeong County decided on public offering and active budget investment to solve these problems and create a new space, and this project has established a basic public and design system, removing existing loose advertisements and facilities, and establishing an integrated object design system that can be perceived more easily through minimal design.
